“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!” — 1 John 3:1
Imagine a beggar standing outside the palace gates, tattered and tired, only to have the King walk out, take him by the hand, and lead him to the table. The King does not call him a servant or a guest; He looks him in the eye and says, “My child.” This is not a metaphor or a poetic title—it is our fundamental identity. We have been adopted into the lineage of Heaven. The blood of the King now flows through our spiritual veins, giving us access to the Father’s ear and a seat at the Father’s feast.
Let the wonder of our adoption sink deep into our bones. We are not orphans fighting for survival; we are children of the Most High. May we be transformed by our new name. Let us live with the dignity, the confidence, and the peace of those who know exactly where they belong. We are loved, we are seen, and we are home.
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for calling me Your own. I am amazed that You would take me in and give me Your name. Help me to live today as a true child of the King, reflecting Your love to the world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
